Regular grooming in every 4 - 6 weeks is essential for pets to have a manageable coat. If the grooming is ignored for many weeks, it may result in your dog having extremely matted hair that would cause pain during untangling.

This is true for non-shedding breeds such as Poodles, Bichons, Shih Tzus, Lhasa Apsos, Terriers, and so on. If you own a dog that has a short, shedding coat, then the grooming can be done every 8 - 12 weeks if thorough brushing is done at home.

You’ll be glad to know that we have early hours for your convenience. You can drop off your pets early and pick them up later in the day. 2. On Fridays, we open by 6:00 am for an early drop off.

There are several factors that determine the cost of grooming. Some factors are:

-Breed of the dog

-The condition of the coat

-Behavior of the pet

-Your expectations

We’ll be able to provide you an approximation depending on how you describe your pet. To determine its behavior and attributes, we would like to see your pet before we give you an estimate.

If your dog has matted hair, it is extremely painful for him / her if we brush the hair instead of shaving him / her. The matted hair is already damaged and brushing will not make it look healthier. 

You can trust us to save as much of your dog's coat as is possible, and we use a deep conditioner to detangle the hair. If the dog has more than one mat, we’ll try our level best to remove them and continue with the haircuts.

Brushing your pet’s teeth is beneficial only when it’s done regularly (every few days). You would not want to waste money on brushing your pet's teeth once every few months in a pet salon. We don't provide teeth brushing services. It is advisable to go to a vet for regular teeth cleaning.

Refrain from feeding the pet on the day of grooming. Your pet may get nervous during grooming and it may cause your dog to get the runs or even throw up. Abstain from feeding your pet before the grooming session. 

Sorry, we don't offer any discount on multiple dogs. Whether we groom 4 dogs from one home or 4 dogs from different customers, it takes the same amount of time.

We don't use heated cage dryers.

We do express anal glands externally during the bathing process.

Our staff is adept at grooming elderly pets. Please note that grooming elderly pets can take more time than usual due to their health issues. An elderly pet might not be able to stand on a grooming table for a longer period. We try our best to groom and bathe elderly dogs faster so that we can have them go home sooner; however, that depends on the salon’s workload for that particular day. 

Absolutely! We maintain a detailed customer record of each pet, the owner's information, and the services rendered to the pet during each visit.

We groom only cats and dogs. You can let us know of any special health problems or any peculiar pet behavior because this information would be helpful to us for grooming your pet.

Yes, we are a full-service establishment.

Generally, a grooming session at The Fur Machine should not take more than an hour or two. We start the grooming session as soon as you drop off your pet at the salon. When your pet is groomed, we’ll give you a call to pick him / her up.
